remodeling budgetA budget is a necessary part of every project that we start at Advantage Remodeling, Inc. Clients, however, are almost never comfortable talking about their budget due to fear of giving away their hand and being overcharged. Many of our potential clients bring their project to more than one contractor to get a feel for what an honest price for the job would be.

There are benefits to sharing your budget with an honest contractor like Advantage Remodeling, Inc. though. Advantage Remodeling, Inc. has been serving the Greater Boston area for almost 20 years and is fully licensed with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We carry all required insurances including general liability and workman’s compensation. We understand how important the work we are doing to our clients’ homes is and vow to treat your home as if it were our own.

Having a budget specified before beginning a remodeling project allows everyone to have a better idea of the expectations the client has for the project. Knowing exactly how much your willing to spend will allow us to make decisions much faster with the client’s best interests in mind.

We can do the following if we have a set budget in mind:

  • Design the project with the budget in mind so that you are getting the most for the amount you are willing to spend.
  • Your contractor can focus on the best work he can do for you as opposed to putting together a competitive bid that might cut corners.
  • Having a realistic budget will allow everyone who is a part of the project to make decisions without the fear of going over budget.

It is important to keep in mind that you should leave a little bit of room in your budget for unexpected expenses. Incidental things will come up that need to be addressed and a little money put to the side with that in mind can be a big help.
